Deflections in assemblies happen when no loads are applied?

I'm trying to troubleshoot strange behaviors in my simulation. It's a swinging beam that's fully fixed on one pivot, and free to translate inwards at the other end (for thermal expansion). When I run the simulation, the frame tines deflect in weird directions considering the loads they're seeing, so I tried turning off all external loads and still the part deflected in the same way, even the tines of the frames (which usually hold heavy parts) still deflect weird. What could be causing this? It's deflecting so much, it's over the yield (the part is aluminum).

Thanks!
Lauren
