I want to perform a simulation of a cantilever beam with an eccentric axial load applied to the tip. The tip deflections that I aim to simulate are fairly large, such that the direction vector of the eccentric point load will significantly change with respect to the global coordinate system for the model. I want to define the applied load in a local coordinate frame at the tip of the cantilever beam such that this frame transforms with the tip during the simulation. I have experimented with defining frames at the tip of my model, but I don't know how to fix them to the model itself. The error that I am encountering is that my 'local' frames tend to remain in open space above my deformed model after simulation and don't actually move with the beam as it bends. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this task would be appreciated.
