Not sure why this is happening but when I open a new part file solidworks goes directly into sketching mode. I looked at my default template in System Option and it points to the correct template. If I open the part template directly that is in the same directory

(C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\SolidWorks\\SolidWorks 2011\\templates\\Part.prtdot) it opens OK, without sketching mode. This is driving me crazy
