Hello everyone. There are some problems with the decals. I will describe the steps as I do it - maybe I am doing things wrong.
1) When I create a simple 3D model, I put a decal on its surface. I use png or jpeg image. I put this images on default folder : C:\\Program Files\\SOLIDWORKS Corp\\ SOLIDWORKS \\data\\graphics\\Decals
(I know I can use custom folder for decals in Sys options\\File locations\\Custom-decal)
Also in mapping tab I use No mask option and All display states. I didn´t save the decals in .p2d file becouse everything works fine with regular images. In mapping tab I use Label for Mapping.
After the decal is displayed I use options for embedding decals: Doc properties\\ Model display\\store appearances, decals and scene.
2) After that I create an assembly with multiple models. Everything is ok in this part. I saved the assembly with options enable in Doc properties\\ Model display\\store appearances, decals and scene.
3) Now I want to save the assembly using Pack and GO so I can transfer it to another computer. I use options Include Custom decals, appearances and scenes, Include Default decals appearances and scenes. Also i use Nasted view and Save to zip folder.
4) I have a problem with this part. When I transferred the zip file to my laptop (I use the same SW 2022 SP5.0 on my computer and laptop). When I open the assembly, the decals are not displayed – only black surface. I used new link to custom decal folder Sys options\\File locations\\Custom – decals
I put a link to the folder where the decals are located.
Also I used View decals on Head up view display.
Also I try remove Sys options\\Perfomance\\Enchaced graphics perfomace
5) When I open a part there is also a black area on the model despite the Decals tab showing an image of a CRT TV representing the decal. It's interesting when I remove the View Decals options he black image from the model that represents the decal also disappears.
I don't know what else to do.
Thank you for your effort in reading the text.
