Data driven design and Cost Estimating

The video is a preview of a magazine article that will appear in July 2012.  We demonstrate how to create and use a form designed with Property Tab Builder to populate Custom Properties that are used in equations to drive the features in the sketches for the base feature and cut extrude.  The article includes a bit of a teaser to introduce the readership to the topic of SolidWorks Cost Estimating.  When the article is published, I'll give you a link so you can download the sldprt and the prtprp files.

My intent is to introduce the readership of the magazine to this forum.  I find this to be a very good resource for tips, tricks, and sympathy.  Peer review is a great way to winnow great workflow from bad.

I unblushingly recommend the FMA to people who build products - their flagship publication is a great read for job shops of all sizes.
