Dangling mates on duplicate components

Hi,

I have a large assembly with many different bolts patterns using concentric mates (shank to hole) and coincident mates (bolt head to bolting surface).  Unfortunately, I recently updated the bolt model such that the faces referenced in the assembly mates no longer exist.  (In fact, the bolt actually looks exactly the same, but solidworks sees them as new faces.)  This left me with many dangling mates, even though only a single component changed.  So far, I've been using "Replace mate entities" on every seed bolt.  However, is there a faster way to tell solidworks to look at the two new faces only once, and have that propagate for every mate?

Thanks
