Hello,

I am a new solidworks user, recently I have been playing around with a phone case stl that I found online. I was trying to cut holes from a dxf sketches that I made.

This is the stl imported files and that's the sketch that I made. I was able to import all the files into solidworks but I don't know how to cut a hole with the sketch that was available.

I tried using extruded boss/base but it only create a 3D model of the sketch and not cutting into the stl model. I was wondering if there is any way to make a hole from this sketch. I also tried putting hole points one by one on top of the sketches but it gave me this error.

If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. Thank you
