Hopefully someone can help me out with this.

I have a 30' W section that I want to cut a pie shape out of the web at one end. I can get the cut out no problem but what I want to do is either cut the flange off and reattach/weld the flange to the top flange or bend the flange to meet the other flange.

The first option is the way we do it in the shop.
