I have an issue when adding balloons to assembly drawings.

My client has a requirement that all part numbers must be sequential and tie up with the balloon numbers - so for example part number 9874-130-009 must be balloon number 9; part 9874-130-024 must be balloon number 24 and so on.

However, because of this it is sometimes necessary to customise the "Item Number" column in the BOM. This hasn't been a problem as such but lately I've started noticing that the balloon numbers don't always tie-up with the item number on the BOM, instead seemingly reverting to the item number that was allocated when the BOM was generated.

Is there any way that this can be corrected, as often balloons are identifying incorrect parts on the drawing?
