I'm having a bit of an issue at the moment. After finishing a bigproject where over a hundred drawings needed to be produced. Ourcustomer came back to us and asked for a number of small changes oneach drawing and issued a new copies (every drawing will have samealterations)
One of the changes is the revision letter. At the moment the wayour drawing template is set up is all of the information displayedin the sheet format is linked back to drawings model.
I'm am in the process of writing a macro that adds all the requiredinformation to the drawing that is missing but I am stuck atrevision update.
What I need is a code that will access the model on the main viewof the drawing and open its custom property on the screen so I canchange the revision letter as well as adjust any other informationthat may be required.
I know this should be possible because I can do so manually. Byediting sheet format, selecting any note and in the property tabclick on Link to Property icon which brings up a window with achoice of whether to link to current document custom property orthe Model in view specified in sheet properties (or component towhich the annotation is attached) If second option is selected Ican then click on File Properties button that will bring up CustomProperty of that file.
Is there any way to automate that manual procedure. Recording amacro does not seem to catch all of the required information so I'mmissing a number of vital steps.
Any help will be appreciated. In my opinion accessing CustomProperty of selected item on the drawing should really be astandard feature as I had ran into this problem many times before.
