OK… I need a little help here, hopefully I can describe it well enough. We have two pipes coming together at an angle and we need to create a line at a constant distance away from the intersection. I have done it two ways that I thought would work but alas, no good. First I offset the outside surface of the diagonal pipe and projected it onto the horizontal one, next I converted the edge of the diagonal onto the top plane and then offset and surface extruded back up to the horizontal pipe. Both methods give me a line around the intersection but due to the fact that the horizontal pipes outer surface is curving away from the diagonal the distance varies. Can anyone think of a way to produce a line on the horizontal pipe that is a constant distance away from the intersection?
