Summary of Problem:
I make two assembly holes, and pattern an equally spaced series of 20 holes based on an assembly level sketch line (pattern doesn't accept full sketch for some reason even though it only contains a single construction line). The first time it builds, all looks as it should. After changing the number of holes to 5, I lose the "equally spaced" characteristic, and it reverts to a static spacing that appears to be defined by the spacing of the 20 holes initially chosen.
I show these steps in the screenshots. Assembly also attached.
- BeforePattern
- PatternOptions
- postPattern
- PostPatternChange
- PrePatternChange
No matter how many times I save or rebuild, this doesn't seem to resolve. I can work around this this by deleting the curve driven pattern and doing it again with an initial 5 number of instances, but this should not be necessary in a parametric modeler like Solidworks.
I am using Solidworks 2018 Premium x64 edition SP 0.1
Question:
Is this a bug? Does this happen on your version of Solidworks as well?
