Sorry this is my second post for help today, forgive me I'm a student and this is my first time using surfacing.

I've made my basic shape that I want however i want to have three holes going through the bottom of the wrist guard, at the moment they are kind of half a hole you can see below. Im having trouble connecting the walls as it is still a surface not a solid (ideally I wish this was now a solid that I could manipulate rather than a collection of surfaces).

Secondly I have the same problem again when I would like to cut in to the part where the shape of the split line is by only around 1mm eventually sketching the same shape offset by 0.5mm inward and making that inner sketch a hole inside the 1mm cut.

(highlighted is what i want to cut in 1mm to then draw another shape inside and cut through)

I have attached the part if the pictures aren't clear enough or you want to play around with it to see what I could do.
