I need help figuring out how to make a part that can have text laser engraved on it. We have for a long time used AutoCAD to make all of our engraved parts but we want to make the full switch to Solidworks. The issue I am running into is getting the text to be filled. I do not want just the outline of the text engraved but rather the entire letter. If I make a cut extrude in the model and then make a drawing only the outline of the text is visible. We have been importing both DWG/DXF and PDF files into CorelDraw. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
