I am just starting to learn about applying appearances to my models.  I use solidworks for an architectural application so I want to have realistic appearances to the materials that we use.  I am looking at how to create the appearances that resemble the products and colors that we use.  Things like cabinetry, vinyl flooring, countertops etc.  Is there a way that I can take a photo of these items and use the image to create their appearance?  We manufacture mobile offices and testing labs so use the same materials on most of the units we build.

I have looked on the luxology site and haven't been able to find anything there.
