Hi all,

I was interested in creating a public (web) directory that can be accessed through Solidworks, and would serve as a repository for Solidworks files. The general idea is that users already in the Solidworks program could run a macro that would access this directory and return a list of files, as well as have the option to search for a particular part name. From there, they could download the file from the web server.

I was curious - is this something that Solidworks natively supports, possibly through Solidworks Explorer? I see that this is possible with the Enterprise PDM Web Client, but I don't have access to that software. However, I do have access to a SQL Server, would that be in any way configurable with the standard version of Solidworks? Or would this have to be done entirely in SolidWorks VBA? For reference, I am running the 2012 Premium edition.
