Hello, I have a question regarding a particel study.
The aim of my study is to get a good insight in how the incoming air stream is mixing with fuel in a carburetor. I already know that there is no other way to do it but to create a particle study.
I already have created gasoline as one of user defined liquids. Now what I want to ask is how likely it is, that I will see a decrease in particle diameter across their trajectory? Are there any special wall or other conditions required for this to happen? The quality of air/fuel mixture can basicly be interpreted as the size of fuel droplets in the stream. Suppose I add 200 droplets at one surface with injection mass flow rate of 0.01 lb/s, if these droplets are about to change their diameter, it must also mean that they must change their total count in order to preserve the sum of mass. Can anyone explain to me how this works? I am a little confused here. And I seriously doubt that solidworks had not thought of a need to mix liquids in gases so it must be possible somehow.
