In Creo Parametric there is a view manager that allows for the creation of any number of named views at whatever orientation you can set. Tools are provided for orientiation.  See Creating View Orientations in Creo Parametric - YouTube .  Downstream in the design process a designer can select any of these named views when placing drawing views.

Is there any such similar functionality in SolidWorks?

I have found the space bar view orientation popup etc, and I've found in a drawing you can select 'Current Model View'  But these are very action dependent and not saved with the model for easy and fast re-use later.
