Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting to these forums, so forgive and redirect me if I am posting this in the wrong place.
I work for a company that works with a lot of sheet metal, and I am a CAD tech who sends .cnc files to the shop so they can cut (using a plasma table) and assemble the finished product.
My current method is to create sheet metal assemblies within Solidworks, save each flattened part as a .dxf, and then use EnRoute 4 to create tool paths and save as a .cnc
We use Solidworks 2018, and so I'm fairly sure that there is a way to create the .cnc files from within SW, but I'm not sure how to do it. I can figure it out myself at some point but I am usually swamped while at work, and I was hoping that somebody here could either concisely explain how to create plasma files from within SW or direct me to a resource which can, so that I can speed up our manufacturing process.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
