I am trying to create standard parts that will be adapted into different assemblies in the future.

Is there a way that I can make the depth of extrusion a variable that I can change it in every assemblies without breaking the links to the original files?

i.e., I can edit the original sketching and the modification will be applied on all assemblies that have it in different depths?
