Hello,

I am experiencing a crash in SolidWorks 2025 SP5.0 on Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045.6937) when clicking File → New. The error module is annotationwpf.

System info:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.70 GHz
• RAM: 16 GB
• GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super, Studio driver 591.74
• Templates folder: C:\\ProgramData\\SOLIDWORKS\\SOLIDWORKS 2025\\templates
  • Part: OK (Part.prtdot)
  • Assembly: OK (Assembly.asmdot)
  • Drawing: missing (Drawing.drwdot)

Steps I’ve tried:

• Full reinstall of SolidWorks 2025 SP5.0
• Windows system file repair (SFC / DISM)
• Windows 10 updates
• NVIDIA Studio driver update
• Reset of %APPDATA%\\SOLIDWORKS and %LOCALAPPDATA%\\SOLIDWORKS folders.

Request: Can anyone advise how to obtain the missing Drawing.drwdot template or how to repair the installation so that SolidWorks recognizes all templates?
