Hello all!
Solidworks has been working great for me for the past 2 years. Just last week I had to go on to make some updates on a few parts and of course there was an update.
At that time, the update launcher absolutely would not open. I tried multiple remedies and restarts but it still just would not open. Then I tried to bypass the update and just use the old version until it would force me to update before opening, but solidworks would not open either. Tried to uninstall but the uninstall window also just refused to open under any circumstance.
I had to leave for a trip for a week, so left it at that. Today when I got back to my computer and tried opening solidworks it gave me the exact same issue, it just would not update. Once again went to uninstall and this time it actually worked. Refreshed the page and the solidworks button switched from "update" to "install", so I clicked install and went through the install wizard options. Once it finally began installing, I got an error that it failed to install.
Then removed all traces of solidworks on my computer, all files, toolboxes, old versions, everything. Then tried to install again and exactly the same problem, as soon as it tries to install and the loading bars come up I get an error message.
Any ideas how I can fix this?
I sent in a support request a week ago when I first started this problem but still have not heard back
