I did a project where I made a weldment frame, put it into an assembly and then made all the assembly & fabrication drawings, detailing each weldment member.
I have a new project for a similar frame but with different dimensions & minor changes.
Is there a way to copy the project or assembly (or even just the weldment part) for a new job, and also copy the drawing(s) so that I don't have to make all new drawings for the new job?
*Edit*
Thanks, I will give Pack & Go a try.
Follow up question:
My current workflow for a weldment is to rename the members in the cut list folder, using the project number as a base. I use these as sudo part numbers on the drawing when I detail the weldment members. I use a note that is linked to Cut List Name to label the views etc.
Because these are entered manually and not linked to the file name or anything, I'm guessing that I would have to manually change all the cut list item names for the new weldment in the new project?
I know there are many ways to skin this cat, but does anyone have a suggestion for making this process easier and less prone to user error?
