Hello, i'm trying to do a static analysis on a structural system consisting of 2 different hollow profiles fixed by the ends and aplying a vertical force on the cylindric profile (as the image shows). I'm analyzing this as a solid. The problem i have is a convergence problem, the more i refine the mesh, the bigger the stress is. I dont know how to solve this. Im using an h-adaptive method and i get the convergence graph shown in the image. maybe combining the two profiles and applying a fillet between them? In reality this two parts will be welded together, so i don't know if doing the combining and fillet thing would be accurate. If i turn these profiles into shell elements would i solve this problem?
