hi I’m trying to setup a study of a bimetallic strip which is placed on a support frame the bimetallic strip has two holes either side where it sits on pins either of the support frame, but I’m having problems with my setup, currently I have the following conditions: component contacts between the steel and copper bimetallic strip set to bonded, I have created a contact set no penetration between the base of the strip and the surface of the support frame, I have also no penetration between the corners of the hole cut-outs in the strip the pins of the frame   

further I have added fixtures: fixed to the base of the support frame, on flat surfaces to the sides of the bi metallic strip to prevent it moving in z direction and a reference geometry to the base of the bimetallic strip preventing it from passing through the support frame 

when i run my model i get the following where the strip has deformed but passed through the supporting I’m totally lost as to how to setup this model any help much appreciated and needed 😊
