Is there a way to keep a consistent gap between a dimension extension line and a center mark. When I dimension an extension line with the "Extended Lines" option off, I get a huge gap.

With the option On it looks fine.

I think the gap should remain constant whether the "Extended Lines" option is on or off. Is there such an option?
