I was wondering how you deal with cables on a plc.  For example I  have a plc that has a 15-pin d-sub connector. I want to connect that to a piece of equipment via a wire harness.  I can create a harness that describes the connection but how do I connect the 15-pin male cable end to the 15-pin female PLC end in a line diagram?

Do I just create the cable and join it to the PLC with wires in the schematic but do not create an actual Cable for that connection (i.e. the one made by the D-subs?). Would this get exported correctly to Solidworks 3D?
