I have been away from solidworks for about ten years but I remember that I had the capability to connect a dimensional value to a custom property value on a drawing so that it would automatically update.

I used this to create values for Length, Width and Height on a drawing that would be custom properties in the Part that could then be used for automated costing.

Is this still available and/or has it been replaced with something else?
