Hello SolidWorks users / members & gurus,
I was successfully using Mate references & Routing, but never thought of mixing up.
But the great thing I found that if you have routing parts with configurations, Solidworks mates the parts & lists only the configuration which fits in, i mean it will not show / list all configurations.
I though that as it happens only for Routing parts, it might be picking the Diameter value of CPoint to filter the component, but I believe I am wrong.

My question is that while inserting a part with mate reference & CPoint in an general Assembly (not Routing Assembly / not while routing) which is the criteria does SolidWorks use for selection of configuration, the CPoint diameter value or the diameter value of the cylindrical face selected for Mate Reference creation
As per my video, I have part A with configurations "1", "2", "3" having cylindrical diameters 1,2,2 respectively, but CPoint diameters as 1,2,3.
Part B has configurations "2", "3", "4", having cylindrical diameters 2,3,4, respectively, but CPoint diameters as 2,3,4.
Now off-course part A has configuration "1" with cylindrical diameter as 1 & CPoint diameter as 1 has no configuration which matches with any configuration in part B
Similarly in part B, configuration "4" with cylindrical diameter as 4 & CPoint diameter as 4 has no configuration which matches with any configuration in part A
So in an assembly, it should list all configurations of B if I try to insert B on A - config 1.
And similarly if i have B - config 4 & I try to insert A on it, but amazingly it lists multiple instants of configuration names.
Next I tried to insert part A on part A - config 3 existing in the assembly & the part A which is being inserted, frequently changes between the configurations 2 & 3
Same is not the case while inserting part A on another part A with config 2
