This is a feature that is available in another cadd package, ands curious if there is similar functionality in solidworks.
-My part has multiple configs.
-My assembly uses all of my configs in different locations.
With my assembly open, i can open the Part (containing configs),
delete the instances out of the part, making the parts (that still exist in the assembly) standalone components, which exists only in RAM.
When Assy is saved it will create the files at that time.
Currently I have to Copy part, delete non needed configs, go to assembly and replace with freshly created parts.
