I am stumped... I have a Screw Model with a config for each size. I want to set a color for each config. No matter what I do all the configs change to the new color? I have checked and unchecked the "Use Configuration specific color" and it has no effect. I go to a config and set a color then change to a different config and it has the new color. I then open the design table and see that the color column has changes to all have the same value. (I had a value set for each color).
I have the configs set up with a default config that then has 11 derived configs under it. Each of the derived configs then have 10 to 15 derived configs under it. Not sure if that should matter since each config has its own color line in the table. I don't think it should pull the color from the parent config.
I am starting to think this is a SolidWorks problem and not a user error problem. Has anyone seen this behavior or am I just missing something?
I am running 2025 sp5
