Morning Folks,

    I am trying to work with large assemblies (5000-6000 parts) and will get a lot of lag. I will hide 90% of the model so I can focus on specific areas and when I create a new part in the assembly I have to wait 15sec, then create a sketch 20sec, finalize the sketch 15sec. etc... I feel like my PC is good but it bugs me with the lag. Any help on what I can upgrade to get better performance. See below for specs.

Dell Precision Workstation T3500

Processor: Intel Xeon 2.5GHz

Ram: 12GB

500GB Solid State Hard Drive

Graphics Card: NVidia Quadro 600 (4GB)

I am running windows 7 with the performance settings set to Maximum Performance. My pc UI looks like I am running windows 98 ahah.

I normally only have 3 programs open, Spotify, Solidworks 2015 Premium, Email.

Any advice that might help with my current situation or should I just accept the lag I have until it is time for a new PC.
