Is there a way to get background lines to not impinge and interfere with foreground outlines (silhouettes?) in SolidWorks Composer Technical Illustration Workshop vector images?

Here's an example image.

I've taken background parts and changed their lines to a light gray color to indicate that they are not the focus of the page, while leaving the parts with callouts and a BOM with dark outlines. Unfortunately the background gray lines are interfering with the foreground black lines.

This isn't a huge deal, but I would like to think there's a way to tell Composer that there's a foreground/background priority with the Technical Illustration workshop. Anyone know this?

Here's the settings I've currently set in the workshop. I have tried MANY combinations of checking and unchecking options, then doing a "preview" in the IE window. But none seem to get rid of the lines interference.
