In our Company we have A lot of Models that will be identical, But different colours for example Red, green and blue.
We have had alot of trouble the last couple of years with rendering and changes within Solidworks.
In 2009 it made nearly all our models have a Grey Default part colour.
So im putting in place a Process of how to correctly colour models. but during most tests we have issues.
Current Plan is for every lowest part stage assign the default colour to no appearance. Then have separate configurations for each colour this however has given us the problem - if the model is to be edited post - how do you ensure all the configs are updated?
Also we still seem to have odd occasions where if we have a Yellow Part it shows green in the render even if it is not at any stage coloured green - like its picking it up from a different/old config.
Any ideas or best practice how to do this would be great as Rendering images is a huge tool for us.
Thanks Joe
