I have imported a part that was sent to me from a sister company as an igs file.  Upon attempting to make a detailed drawing, I am experiencing difficulties with adding center marks as well as dimensioning to the center of arcs/circles.  When I try to create a linear dimension from an edge to the center of the circle, I get the error message, "A dimension could not be created from the selected items".  When trying to add centermarks to these same circles/arcs, I get the message, "Centermarks can only be created on arcs and circles".

Does anyone know what causes this?
