hey, can anybody help me with this?
i'm modeling a "top down" parametric industrial installation and iwant to control a pipe (called 'lifting pipe') configuration(diameter and welding schedule) in a sub assembly (called'internals') with the design table of the total assembly.
SW seems not to be able to find the specific component i want toconfigure, is it impossible to "step down" a layer into the subassembly?
(i temporarely fixed this issue by making a DT for the sub assemblywich contains different pipe configs. this generated a couple ofconfigs of the sub assembly which i now select with the DT of thetotal assy.
Though this works for now, i don't want to have to do this for eachcomponent...)
pulling the part out of the sub assembly is not an option, othercomponents and drawings depend on it.
The column header without sub assembly would be:
\\\$configuration@lifting pipe<3>
i've tried:
\\\$configuration@internals<1>@lifting pipe<3>
\\\$configuration@lifting pipe<3>@internals<1>
but none of this works...
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Steyn

ps. attachement is the error balloon i get
