I have existing drawings parts and assemblies and I have used the revision (\$PRP:"Revision") field to keep track of drawing revisions before contemplating the use of workgroupPDM.

\$PRP:"Revision" is blank in the parts and assemblies and populkated with A,B,C,D, etc in the drawings.

When I check the drawings in to the vault the field is overwritten with the issue as it is set up for PDM vault (to begin with A 01 for example). The previously data in \$PRP:"Revision" is lost.

How can I make it preserve the current issue status? (and still be able to "bulk check-in")

Perhaps I need to create a new custom field for the pre-PDM issue and copy the existing data into that. I'll need to do that for many files (about 20+ Gb of data).

I dont know where to start with that.
