I am trying to create a chain using a 3D sketch. I can create the chain using a curve-driven feature. I created a simple ball and put a work point in the center. I then inserted the ball into an assembly and constrained it in the proper location. I then created a new part in the assembly which is a 3D sketch of where I want the curve-driven pattern to go. I then used the curve-driven pattern to pattern the ball along the 3D sketch. So I now have the chain in my assembly but it is not together as one because the ball was inserted beforehand . When I created wires using the 3D sketch and the "New Part" command, the wire was made from a profile sketch and path and the complete entity was a single part. Is there anyway to create the chain as a single part, profile and path? Sorry if this is  confusing.
