I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with centrifuge vortex calculations. I have run a CFD with a centrifuge type tool but I am unclear if the study I am looking at is correct. I can't put the model or assembly in here due to proprietary reasons. I guess my question is how many wraps of a vortex are needed to create enough centrifugal force to separate particles from a given fluid? What speed does the vortex need to be in order for the separation to happen? Thanks for any insight into this problem.
