I need to create embossed text on an object, and it needs to be centered vertically. In the figure below, the center of the text block needs to be at the sketch origin:
This part is generic and I know neither the number of lines nor the size of the text at this time. I can dimension to the line used to place the text, but that doesn't help - it's always below the first line, so I can't even center a single line without knowing the text size first, let alone multiple lines where I again don't know the size, spacing, or number of lines. The text object doesn't seem to have a bounding box I can use to dimension or constrain.
Is there a multiple-line text object that's hidden in the menus or something? Is there a way to extract the number of linefeeds, text height, and line spacing that can drive an equation to drive the vertical position? What options to I have here?
I hate to make comparisons to other design packages, but...in Fusion this kind of thing is trivial.
Thanks for any help,
