Hello,

I have drawn up a simple casing that encompasses 2 intermeshing lobes that are shaped as figure 8's. i'd like to run a simulation to see how the rotating lobes impact the vorticity of the fluid downstream.

I have watched a youtube tutorial that states if you have a fan blade/impeller/lobe then you must extrude a region that encapsulates the blades and ensure that the extrusion isn't merged.

I have done this and set up the wizard to include a rotation, when i click on the rotating region and try to select the non-merged extrusion around the lobe it won't allow me to select it.

Since the 2 lobes intermesh, the rotating regions will overlap somewhat, is this the reason why it won't allow me to select it?

Solidworks allows me to select the shaft attached to each lobe that is to be rotated.
