I'm trying to get approval us use SolidWorks API in order to create add-ins for company specific functions. However my IT department has concerns that SolidWorks API or VB.NET may somehow damage or corrupt the SolidWorks application somehow because of access to SolidWorks libraries. I don't think this could happen because the programs dont access the code of dlls or modeling kernel etc. Can someone shed some some light on this issue?
