The new Set Revision functionality in SOLIDWORKS PDM is very powerful, however, the process is currently a manual process requiring the user to right-click on a file or select a file and choose Modify -> Set Revision. Is there a way to automate this process, or "call" the function in another action?

It would be nice to add the "Set Revision" option to a transition action for example, to automatically update the revision value in the data card and the database at the same time using the Set Revision function. Or if that is too much, it would at least be nice to be able to access the "Set Revision" option in Dispatch or through the EPDM APIs.

Is there an API call for the Set Revision option? I don't see any in the API documentation for 2016.
