I would like an actual explaination for why the Remember Me checkbox does not, in fact, Remember Me.

There is no real security reason to ask me to log in this frequently, and at this point I am starting to question is the Remember Me box is a complete facade or not. How hard is it to at least remember my login for a month (at least). Ive never seen a platform require me to log in this much. I might legitimately set up a macro just to type my username and password in to save me the annoyance.
