I am planning to do transient CFD of turbomachinery by using Solidworks Flow Simulation.

However, recently I came across with a paper (see attachment) saying that for turbomachinery, for the sake of speed, Solidworks Flow Simulation does not use Sliding Mesh method, a transient approach.It rather uses Multiple Rotating Reference Frame method, which is a steady state approach. I interprete it as Flow Simulation cannot do transient CFD to obtain unsteady flow field for turbomachinery. Can anyone kindly confirm this and correct me if I am wrong? Thank you in advance!
