I am currently running SW09 sp3.0.  My computer is a Dell Precision 360 with Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4CPU 2.80GHz 2.79GHz, 3.00 GB of RAM.  I tried to upgrade to sp4.0 but had to go back. I have been stuck at sp3.0 for about 6 months now.  My manager has finally give me the o.k. to get a new computer.  I will be buying a Dell.  I do alot of reverse engineering on automotive tools using a Cimcore Romer Arm and Perceptron Laser Scanner to collect data.I then use Polyworks for surfacing after which I import into SW as an iges file to make parametric models.  Some of these files may be the surface of a complete form tool, which can get pretty large.  I also would like to include a very nice monitor.  I really don't know what my budget is, but I was told to get what I need.
