Hello, new here to the forum. I would like to create a BOM that calls out a specific "type" of part for manufacturing purposes so that a BOM would be populated for only those parts. For example : sheet metal parts- flat or bent for plasma or laser cut, machined parts, saw cut parts, and purchased parts. I would like to insert a BOM that would call out and auto balloon only those specific parts so that a plasma or laser operator would only need that BOM. I have tried using the custom properties but it's not reacting in the manner I would like. Is there an easy way to do this? Can certain parts not be given a specific value of say "x" that would allow the BOM to call out only parts with that value and associate it with an auto-balloon as well?
