This may be a dumb question but....

During an AISC audit, someone in our engineering department was asked how we calibrate SolidWorks.... None of us were able to respond with anything except a confused look on our faces.

Has anyone been asked this before? How do you go about calibrating software? Can we get a calibration certifcation from Dassault? 

Even if a drawing is scaled properly, whether or not it is actually printed to scale would depend on the print properties but his question wasn't regarding the drawings or prints, it was specifically about the software and models.

For example, "How do I know that if I model a 2" x 2" x 2" cube that it is actually 2" x 2" x 2" ??""
