Calaculating the required motor tourque using Magnitude against time Plots

Hello folks,

                I am currently trying to calculate the torque required to move an object within an assembly before building a test rig, Please see attached. I have

a gear ratio of 2:1 to reduce the initial inertia imposed by the tube rotating about its axis.

My question is: Should I run the Simulation with a mechanical mate (spur gear) between the two gears 2:1, or should I use a solid body contact between the two. Both ways produce a result, but the later has a far higher Magnitude once I plot the torque speed curve.

any thoughts?
