I'm an student in 'Mechanical Design and Productiontechnology'

I bought a Asus K95V, but I do need to take it with me all the time, and it's an 18.2'.

So I will be buying a new laptop/mac in the near future.

I prefer the Macbook Pro (8GB) because of quality of the hardware.

Here is my question:

- Will programs like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc... run smooth on a Mac (with bootcamp windows)? (even for big assemblies?) Or am I much better of with a regular windows laptop

If so are there any Windows laptops you recommend, that have a good build quality and work GREAT for SolidWorks?
